Modelling of Ebola virus. Virus that causes haemorrhagic fever. The Ebola virus belongs to the family of Filoviridae. On its membrane are glycoproteins which allow the fusion of viral and cellular membranes. The matrix, under the membrane, is constituted by major proteins VP40 and minor proteins VP24. The nucleocapsid is constituted by the following proteins: nucleoprotein NP, VP30, VP35 and viral polymerase (on the left end of the virus). The nucleocapsid proteins surround the viral RNA.
